Cale's first bath in the sink! The entire time he just kicked and splashed around. He absolutely loves the water and fits perfectly in the sink.

Sunbathing.
Little Cale had juandice and in order to get rid of it we had to put him in the sun for about 30 minutes each morning. He didn't like it so much being that he had just woken up, but we did get rid of it eventually!
Cale photoshoot.
We went to Noni's to take some pictures of baby Cale and they turned out AMAZING! After at least 300 pictures and struggling to get Cale to cooperate, we got what we needed. We only liked about 20 of them, but those 20 were perfect. Cale poopied twice on Noni's bed and once all over me in my white gown during the shoot. It was hilarious! I now understand why infant photographers charge so much, it is really difficult.

Labor Day
CALE ARRIVES!!
On August 31, 2008, Cale Brooks swept us with his grace and beauty. The day prior to that, Saturday, my mom and I were doing some last minute shopping for him because my due date was that Tuesday, September 2, 2008 and we knew soon after that they would induce and we wanted to have everything ready. We were in the Toggery and I started to have some mild back pain, I just thought nothing of it thinking all pregnant women have back pain maybe mine is just now arriving on week 40, LUCKY ME! On the way home it started getting more and more intense and while we were crossing the river bridge I felt a contraction. WOW those things hurt! We got back to my apartment and I told Tyler I thought I was going into labor and then WOW another one of those contractions arrived as soon as I told him. We waited until they were four minutes apart and then headed to the hospital. By the time I arrived and got into my room the contractions were getting worse. I had dialated to 4 cm and boy oh boy I was ready for that epidural. As most of you know I was for sure on having him all natural, no pain medications whatsoever. But soon after the contractions my mind changed real quick. After the epidural everything started slowing down, including the labor. At about 2:00 a.m on August 31, 2008, I had fully dialated and the pushing began. After 2 hours of non-stop pushing, throwing up, and crying, baby Cale arrived. He weighed 9 pounds and 2 ounces and was the most pure, perfect thing I had ever seen. My own little Buddha!
